Everyone with a computer and a camera now has the capability to become their own television station. This is the phenomenon of YouTube and other programs.
What does this technology do to our consciousness? Who is this kid making the strange sounds that are so silly they may (I hope) make you laugh? He’s no one we know or are ever likely to meet. Standing in some spot – probably the bedroom in his home, he suddenly (and briefly) dances into our consciousness. He also may be someone whose performance helps us expand the meaning of a meditation.
A restful break doesn’t always require intense prayer and deep silence. It may be something that moves our mood and our energy in a short burst of time. But it may be enough to shake us from a low mood for the rest of the day.
I hope this little clip raised your energy today. Even more, I hope it helps bring balance to the serious and sometimes dreary work of caregiving.
