How often do we find ourselves in the midst of life’s rotation and feel inept to face its mix of challenges and blessings? Sometimes it seems like life has run us over and we can no longer keep up the pace and frankly don’t know how to re-engage with what is important. The sudden realization that everything we do has lasting impact could be enough for us to hide in fear.
There is no practice, no dress rehearsal for this thing called life. We build each day on what we have learned in all the days before. We plan ahead with the illusion that we have control over the future. Living in the now means experiencing life as it comes at us. Not in reactive victimization, but with proactive intention on how to embrace opening night. I am convinced of the importance of self-care. The discipline around the intention of being a healing presence is what allows us to charge fully ahead with dignity and grace, anticipating that each moment will somehow affect all that is eternal.
I invite each of us to breathe in all that is life giving, and exhale all that saps us of energy. I invite us to hold each moment for what it is – the mystery of the unknown and the power to make it all that it could be.

    Karen,
I just got in from work and I guess I feel as you describe, yet my efforts have a purpose and I accept that there are occasions that require extraordinary efforts. Mine has been an extremely hectic day of pushing hard.I appreciate the depth and breath of your reflection. I can now take a moment to do as you suggest! Thank you for sharing from your heart.

I especially enjoyed this this quote I received via e-mail and thought I would share it from this rainy little corner of the world, Sunday morning. It is a quote from Higher Awareness.
DON’T BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, DEPEND ON THEM
You don’t need an explanation for everything.
Recognize that there are such things as miracles,
events for which there are no explanations.
Later, knowledge may explain those events away.
The fact that you plant a seed and it becomes a flower,
share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another’s,
smile at someone and receive a smile in return
    are common miracles.
Your duty to yourself is to believe that for which you
have sufficient evidence, and to suspend your judgment
    when you have not.
    Any sufficiently advanced technology
    is indistinguishable from magic.
Some things have to be believed to be seen.
Vision is the art of seeing invisible things.
