Love holds us together

“You know what music is? God’s little reminder that there’s something else besides us in this universe; harmonic connection between all living beings, everywhere, even the stars.”  From August Rush; Robin Williams

Music is its own prayer. Love holds our universe together; love holds us…

The "Our Father", Aramaic version from the Rosaries of Divine Union by Fr. M. Keating

O Birther! Father-Mother of the Cosmos, focus your light within us—make it useful. Create your
reign of unity now; Your one desire acts with ours, as in all light, so in all forms. Grant what we need each day in bread and insight. Loose the cords of mistakes binding us, as we release the strand we hold of others’ guilt. Don’t let surface things delude us, but free us from what holds us back. From you is born all ruling will, the power and the life to do, the song that beautifies all; from age to age it renews. Amen.

What beautiful light you offer today, Liz – your artwork, Fr. Keatings prayer, Tina Malia’s superb, “Shores of Avalon” and, best of all, your own transcendent lines: “Music is its own prayer. Love holds our universe together; love holds us…” You said more in those two sentences that most of us can write in two hundred.

We are connected today by a special sorrow Liz – and we are bound by a stronger love found in hope, the music of our hearts.

There is something in music that brings about a different aspect of our emotions. Tina Malia’s music here provided me six minutes of peacefulness today that I really needed. Thank you, Liz.

Liz: thank you for your reflection and your beautiful artwork. Love does hold the Universe together. This is apparent when I visited the LA Science Museum recently to see the “the “Endeavor” and also to watch the wonderful film at the I-Max Theater. The constellation of stars in their infant stage flooded the scene shining in the black background- how marvelous! It was the highlight of my visit. We are blessed that we at this stage could watch God’s Creation with the advent of the Space Age. How Excellent!.
