Mandala 2 11-2018

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

~Marianne Williamson

This wisdom shared has been whispering to me continually for the past week, so I wanted to share it with you as well.

There are times when I wish to shrink for the world. Yet, I know we all have a purpose and with the gift of life also comes responsibility. Now is not the time to shrink from the world.

 I reflect upon this, prayerfully…

What a gift you are, Liz. Thank you for allowing us to glimpse your inner light. Thank you also for the encouragement to enable our inner glow to shine through as we live life to the fullest.
Great mandala for you as the 15 year old, Liz. Wow!

The mandala is wonderful. A centering amongst the senses. The vibrance of colour radiating forward. Being the child of God.
What Marianne Williamson says is so true, we most shine forth our positives and let the rays help others step up and outward. If we close up ourselves and hide in our basement all our days we are no closer to the light of our lives. The deer, the fox, the birds of a feather. The smile of a person, the hug of a loved one. The dance that sunshine makes as it bids adieu to its best friend – moonlight. We are a child. We are a child of God. We are a child of Love. Embrace the twelve year old in us and dance with Love today.
    Thank you, Liz…
FYI We started to carry a few books by Marianne Williamson in our bookstore.
