St Pats Blessing

In celebration of St Patrick's Day I was fortunate to attend a live performance with artist Deirdre Ni Chinneide, "A Journey to the Thin Places" with Celtic song and poetry last evening. It was held at the intimate and beautiful chapel of the Sisters of St Joseph. What an incredibly life giving experience, especially to share the experiences with others. I would like to share a little of the experience with you by playing one of her beautiful songs.

May you take a few minutes to take in the beauty of Deidre's voice and message.

I leave you with these thoughts by John O'Donohue: "There is a kindness that dwells deep down in things; it presides everywhere, often in the places we least expect. The world can be harsh and negative, but if we remain generous and patient, kindness inevitably reveals itself. Something deep in the human soul seems to depend on the presence of kindness; something instinctive in us expects it, and once we sense it we are able to trust and open ourselves. "

Deeply moving Liz and so encouraging. Wow, a hundred thousand angels by my side.
The Celtic Tradition of Thin Places is a treasure that is appreciated as it draws us beyond and into the Sacred Presence.
So pleased you shared the gift of your St Patrick’s Day celebration with us, Liz.
And I give thanks also for the richness of the Irish and for the words of John O’Donohue.

This St. Patrick’s. Day weekend I was privileged to listen to Fr. Seán ÓLaoire on the podcast Buddha at the Gas Pump (episode #677 bat gap.com if interested). He was talking about mixing the spiritual experiences as an Irish catholic priest with his 14 years in Kenya, plus his growth since then. Plus he is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Northern California. This talk reminds me of all the people in the world that have something to say from their experiences and we wish we could have met. I am sure glad I was able to hear him talk. The Irish stories, the Kenyan stories, the Jewish stories and the stories of God…
You may want to watch with subtitles on or read along with the transcript as he has not left his Irish brogue.
May a leprechaun dance with you and your friends under a rainbow.
