Jumping child My daughter wrote me recently that her little son fell off his bike recently. "Are you okay?" his mom asked, surprised to see that her boy wasn't crying. "Yes," the three-year old said. "I'm saving a princess!"

Focused on his princess-saving mission, my grandson appeared to feel no pain. He could not know that his experience is true for all beings.

Although she regularly tended the disease-ridden "poorest of the poor" in the shadowed streets of Calcutta Mother Theresa rarely became ill. A mother may suddenly pick up a half-ton car to free her baby stuck beneath it.

The mysterious yogis of India can endure enormous pain by doing in an exaggerated way what my grandson was doing in a moment. They can move there attention so far away from their pain that they seem not to feel it.

Where attention goes, energy flows. It is an incredibly powerful notion and one you can learn to practice increasingly in your life.

Align your energy with Love and you will feel your life transformed.

We so often focus on the heavy load we are under, how hard it may be, or how much time it will take. But when you surround yourself with Love, look beyond yourself and your daily cares, all things are possible. The impossible becomes possible, maybe even easy!. I was feeling burdened for some reason today. Thanks for your timely reminder.

What beautiful words, Erie. And right when I needed them the most! When we love we are on a valiant quest, doing a noble deed, finding that our treasure is where our heart is. On a gloomy, humdrum day I needed to remember that as a caregiver I am really saving a princess. C.S. Lewis said that we have never met an ordinary person, each one is an immortal being. Each one is a princess! Thank you for blessing us!

I love this little one’s exuberance captured in mid air. One can reconnect with joy when in the presence of a child who sees the world as magical! When we see with sacred eyes we too see the world anew. Thank you, Erie for today’s pearl, may we share it freely.
