“What if religion was each other?

If our practice was our life?

If prayer was our words?

What if the temple was the Earth?

If forests were our church?

If holy water – the rivers, lakes, and oceans?

What if meditation was our relationships?

If the Teacher was life?

If wisdom was knowledge?

If love was the center of our being.”

-Ganga White

Lovely Liz; I feel that there is no “what if” in this poem; there is only “What IS”…..Love your mandala.

One of your loveliest mandalas, Liz. “What if religion was each other?” Imagine how this would dissolve barriers among Moslems, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus… Thank you, Liz.

Liz: exquisite mandala. I like this “if our practice was our life?” There is a sentence one hears now and again “much talk but no action”. In one practical example caring for one another in our daily lives require action. Nurses and caregivers are very much appreciated for their “hands on” work and their support to those whom they care for. sbeng

Liz, an absolutely gorgeous mandala. One can see so many aspects of life, love and art in the nuances. Truly inspiring!
I happened to be reading a wonderful book this morning while also letting the poetry of Ganga White’s words flow in.
“How artistic that there should be room for such variety, how rich the texture is, and how much more interesting than if the Almighty had decreed one antiseptically safe, exclusive, orthodox way. Although he is Unity, God enjoys, it seems, his recreation, his play, his lila, in endorsing variety!”

Only if we could live the What if…. At least Liz you are gifting us with the inspiration, encouragement and motivation to live the What if each day. Thank you for the beautifully, serene mandala and the reflective, What If.
