Moonrise florida 2 - erie chapman

If a picture is worth a thousand words then why don't we spend the same amount of time looking at the picture as we do reading a thousand words?

Photographs are usually viewed in one second and quickly described as "nice," or "interesting." Neeexxxt!

What happens if you linger longer? How does remaining present to an image help appreciation of caregiving?

A point of light to focus on.
A gradient from darkness to light.
An ocean to calm the nerves.
Time to let go of the day and rejuvenate.
A cup of Earl Grey and the sound of seagulls.
Sounds of waves lapping at the shore.
Calmness and a fullness of Love.
    The Creator has my back.

What a spectacular response, JVD! I am so grateful for the poem you have taken the trouble to create. You truly picked up the challenge and gave as thoughtful and caring a response as I can imagine. Thank you for the beauty and grace you brought to every person seeing this.

Personally, I would rather gaze upon your picture, Erie and be enveloped in her peace. J’s poem is a beautiful accompaniment to your sacred psalm. Thank you Erie and JVD!

Such a lovely peace here Erie. What an image! I do love the soft cloak of colors, bringing to mind Julian of Norwich:
    “All shall be well,
    All manner of thing,
    Everything,
    All shall be well.”
