Enter the Struggle

Angeloflight (002)

  …we are challenged

        to pour ourselves

                into the human endeavor…

                        Knowing full well

                                that it is the struggles

and how we are with others

                                                                         that matters.

            Success is left to God,

      held lightly

                                        and regarded as pure gift.

Beautiful, Liz. I just spent 3 days with an ex-brother-in-law who I had not connected with in +20 yrs. He is now a member of the LDS, and has been recently been asked to be the Bishop of his ward. This is a challenging position, as you are called to serve your fellow flock on a deeper level. I know he will do well, because the Lord has asked him to share his gifts to others. What a blessing he and his wife are, to answer the call to be of service. Amazing the with him, and to see a transformation for the Lord, just wonderful.

Beautiful painting Liz! We are called by the Lord to help others. We can do our level best, at the same time the LORD too would have the other person seek His advice and guidance. Ultimately The Lord wants both people to depend on Him to resolve the issue. God’s Love is ever present with us when we face the “ups and downs of life”. “His Grace is Sufficient for us” Ultimately as you say “Success is left to God”.

“…we are challenged/ to pour ourselves/ into the human endeavor…” Sister Marcia’s poem expresses so well what is before each life – and so do both of your watercolors.
Will we take up this challenge in ways that truly bring light to others. You pose all of this so well. Thank you for this post, Liz.

I have reservations on the first part so I will comment on the second…
What is the color of Love? Love being a part of Divine Light, I see a prism of colours. Slightly shaded by experiences and separated by variations on a theme. A rainbow of differences that bring out laughter and knowledge. Yet colours blend to wonderful hues and tones, no two the same. True colours reflect our Divine Love.
