Falling water  "What do you think you are, God's gift to women?" one male comedian said to another in a sketch I heard decades ago. The audience laughed.

But, I wondered if each of us is, in fact, a gift from God to the world.

If you believe, as do I, that we are all children of God then we are all children of Love. This truth triggers lovely ideas:

How have you unwrapped your gift of living water & let it flow into the lives of others? What loving kindnesses have you brought to fellow children of God, whether or not they seemed like such offspring at the time?

Imagine the potential you have, the gold that lives in you & how you might pay it to others this very day? What a remarkable kind of gold this is. The more you give away the more comes back to you.

If you have never seen yourself as a gift from God consider that now. The moment you do your life will change. So will that of those around you.

Let your giftedness flow to others as freely as from a forest waterfall! We are all both gifts from God and gifted with unique abilities that can help all of us flourish and grow as God desires. You too will feel the cooling balm of loving service!

And we are too busy to remember this! The power of understanding and calling on the gift that we can can endure all things, like Teresa of Avila tells us today on her feast day!

My daily “to do” list has one item on it each day to consciously do one thing to advance humanity. It feels so good to make a special effort to give gold away every single day.
