Gratitude

There is so much to be thankful for…

What is the prayer of your heart?

With my eyes and heart alert to the beauty and wonder of each moment may I be transformed by the Mystery and Presence of each encounter.

As short as this reflection is, there is a lot to ponder. First is the lovely artwork. Such a graceful glimpse of nature and her beauty. Next is the thankfulness:
    Appreciation
    Gratitude
    Acknowledgement
    Prayer
    Eucharist
And then there is the prayer:
    Help me help you.

Whenever I write about this subject or read something lovely or experience both, as with your column, Liz, I think of how easy it seems to practice this and how hard it turns out to be in real life.
Of all the people I know I am one who has an exceptional amount for which to be grateful. And yet….the critical aspects of my mind, the “doing” energy, is constantly interfering.
Thank you for making gratitude such a pleasant & reassuring prayer today through your lovely artwork. The patterns you offer are as pleasing as gratitude itself and the few words you quote are all we need.

    Wood,
What is that they say, Every day is a new beginning… Sounds as though you do not take life for granted and live in gratitude!

Do not be so hard on yourself, Erie, we are all human! You have a generous heart and care so deeply about seeding RLC across our nation and indeed you have, as the pioneer in this life changing work. I am grateful to you for your significant contributions and to keeping the torch burning so brightly. Your efforts have succeeded beyond your knowing!
…and I thank you Erie, I am so grateful for you as are the countless people whom you have blessed.
