Dreaming-AngelsWe've all been following Erie's epic journey into different realms of consciousness and we have been encouraged to share stories that touch upon these realities. The following story was written by Dayna Ayala RN and shared with me in 2013.

"My great grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer and shortly after was admitted to hospice. Most of the time she didn’t have any pain and  after a few weeks she would tell my grandma that she could see my great grandpa standing by the window watching her, even though he had passed away about 10 years earlier. She said that he called her by name, and sometimes too, told her to come with him".

"One morning my great grandma shared that she had dreamed of beautiful angels flying above her bed and she wanted to reach up and grab one but couldn’t because she wasn’t strong enough. Her daughter (my grandma) told her that the next time she saw the angels, to reach up and hold on as hard as she could, that it was okay to go with them."

"The next morning my great grandma was found lying in bed with her hands clenched tight. She had held on to an angel and passed away in her sleep."

This  phenomenon is often described and experienced when a loved one is transitioning from this earthly life as angels and loved ones come to greet and accompany us.

Have you ever witnessed a transcendent moment such as this?  How did it change you?

How beautiful and comforting as well as hope-filled. Thank you Dayna and Liz. From my own experience I am unable to share such a story, yet I have heard inspiring stories of how people experienced grace beyond measure and comfort in ways that they could not express in words, yet, deeply felt within the heart. Angels are powerful and so supportive – often I share with my angel and ask for her assistance.

I remember my mother-in-law’s final weeks. She would tell us of how she was having wonderful conversations with her brothers and sisters about all the things they did back in the day. These were very vivid recollections and discussions. It made her very happy to be talking with the family again after so many years. And soon she was reunited with them forever.
