"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes."

~Marcel Proust

Finding.my.voice

“Finding your way in life is not so much about choosing a direction. It’s about uncovering the voice of the soul, the call that is already imprinted inside you, and then finding the courage to face down your fears and let your true voice be heard.

One of my favorite verses from the Song of Songs is when the lover calls out, ‘let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet.’

The ancient rabbis insisted it was God who was speaking those words to each one of us, ‘Let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet.’”

~Rabbi Naomi Levy

Rabbi Levy’s thoughts resonate with me.. stirrings… new awareness… a voice within… has been encouraging me… calling me…to find my voice…

So to come across Levy’s writing at this time seems rather serendipitous and hopeful, even amidst the darkness of times there is Light calling us to a greater good.

How encouraging, thank you Liz. During these dark times that we are experiencing I continue to be touched and warmed by the courage, hope, love and generosity of so many people who are pouring out their life for the good of others. There is Light that is breaking through. Truly, we are Easter People.

I have heard that in the beginning was the Word and then the Light. Yet, in the darkness one can hear someone calling Beloved ‘let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet.’ A song can be many callings, expressions. Perhaps as Jackie DeShannon sang “What the World Needs Now Is Love” and “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.” The Light is calling us to listen to the Song of God.
Thank you for singing aloud to us this day Liz.
