The Unfinished

By Viktor E. Frankl

We cannot judge a biography by its length,
Nor by the number of pages in it.
We must judge it by the richness of its contents
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most poignant.
We cannot judge a song by its duration
Nor by the number of its notes
We must judge it by the way it touches and lifts our souls
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most beautiful.
And when something has enriched your life
And when its melody lingers on in your heart
Is it unfinished?
Or is it endless?

Dedicated in loving memory of Jessica Kate Jablonski, whose life has been a beautiful symphony, spreading light, love and joy to all who encountered her.

For Reflection: Unfinished or endless, what are your thoughts?

    A beautiful reflection, Liz.
Just yesterday I was listening to the radio while sorting through old vinyl records at the monastery, I had to stop and listen to a wonderfully haunting song. It was unfamiliar to me but it was trying to tell me a story. Turns out it was “This Is My Boy” from the movie soundtrack “Till”. Emmett Till was only 14 when his life was taken from us. Emmet Till is still with us, unfinished and yet endless with our Love.
