What Are We Thinking?:-)

Hard to admit, but when I went back to RMH in 2015 I encountered several “old” partners. One of them saw my white hair and wrinkles, did not recognize me and blurted out “Is that really YOU, Erie? Because I…” Then she gave an embarrassed smile.

The same phenomenon occurred when I returned to Nashville’s Baptist Hospital (now St. Thomas MidTown) recently.

That challenge has gotten worse, of course…or better, depending on how you look at it. Always grateful to see old friends and also be able to see the layers of younger versions of themselves hidden within.
