They say a picture tells a thousand words or perhaps so many stories. Caregivers stories often go left untold. Through the years I had the opportunity to read countless stories (through our Values in Action awards program) of caregivers who have gone above and beyond to care for and support patients and their families. Although these stroies may be forgotten as well as those who provided such loving care, the giver and the receiver who were changed by the encounter will remember. How often when someone does a kind loving gesture (big or small) towards us it inspires us to do something similar for someone else… that is the beauty of the ripple out effect… and we will never know the far reaching impact of a loving thought word or deed.
